What is MotoActa?
MotoActa is a permanent digital logbook for motorcycles. A QR code or NFC tag points to the bike record, where owners can manage service history, photos, ownership, mileage, track hours, and tech inspection history.
Is the traffic on motoacta.app real?
Some of it may be real, but raw Cloudflare request counts include humans, bots, crawlers, asset loads, API calls, and repeated refreshes. The best signals are waitlist submissions, contact emails, QR scans with reasonable user agents, geographic patterns, referrers, and Cloudflare Web Analytics or server-side events that separate page views from bot requests.
What can someone see when they scan a bike QR code?
By default, only a minimal public bike profile is visible: bike identity basics such as make, model, year, nickname, and public profile content the owner chooses to show. VIN, owner identity, exact location, costs, title data, crash details, and full private service records are not public by default.
Is the QR code proof of bike identity?
No. The QR code is a pointer to the record. The trust layer is the VIN and human attestation: a shop, inspector, or admin can confirm the QR/NFC tag points to the same bike as the stamped frame VIN.
How does this help riders?
Riders get one place to keep the bike story: service history, mods, mileage, track hours, photos, crash or repair history, and public profile content. The record stays with the bike across owners, which helps maintenance discipline and resale trust.
How does this help track day providers and race orgs?
MotoActa replaces paper tech-inspection clipboards with configurable digital checklists. Track day providers and race orgs can use the platform free, save their own inspection profiles, and build a timestamped record of pass/fail history.
How does this help shops?
Shops can log verified service directly onto a customer's bike record. Their name stays attached to completed work, which helps customer retention, resale credibility, and future service reminders. The current public price is $24 per year for shops.
What does MotoActa cost?
The current public model is: a free starter tier for riders with low-cost upgrades later, free access for track day providers and race orgs, and $24 per year for shops. Physical QR kits are separate because printing and fulfillment cost real money.
Will my data be sold to insurers or partners?
No automatic data sharing. Insurance, shop, and track partnerships must be consent-based. MotoActa should only share a record summary when the bike owner grants access for a specific use case, such as a buyer review, shop service, inspection, or insurance review.
Is there an API or MCP server?
Yes. The API is available at api.motoacta.app/openapi.json, docs are at docs.motoacta.app, and the MCP server is planned for AI-assisted workflows such as logging service, querying bike history, and creating inspection records.
